Thumb Bracket

The optional hydraulic thumb opens up opportunities for loading and material handling tasks. It allows you to pinch material between the thumb and bucket, retracting for normal excavation. Installation time is significantly reduced with the factory installed mount brackets.

Operating Weight and Specs Comparable to Machines One Class Larger
For greater power and stability that's comparable to a 3-ton class excavator, the KX71-3's operating weight is a hefty 6,305 lbs., with track and track shoe width being 5'1" and 12" respectively. Although it can compete with the 3-ton class, its overall width has been kept under 5', allowing it to fit through narrow openings.
