Honda offers 19 different portable pumps to meet a wide variety of applications including general de-watering, trash, multi-purpose and submersible models. All 16 gasoline-powered pumps are equipped with Honda OHV commercial grade or OHC premium residential engines. All meet EPA and CARB emission levels and most carry a two-year limited warranty for non-commercial use.

General Purpose Pumps

Honda general purpose pumps are designed for moving clear, clean water from one place to another. Honda pumps are not designed for pumping drinking water or flammable liquids. Typical applications include irrigation, flood control, light construction, and swimming pool draining.

Construction Pumps

Honda offers five models of trash and diaphragm pumps for heavy-duty commercial and agricultural applications. For over 20 years, the construction and rental industries have counted on Honda's superior performance and reliability to get the job done under the most demanding conditions.

Multi-Purpose Pumps

The Honda WMP20X is designed to allow transfer of certain industrial and agricultural chemicals. Powered by a Honda commercial grade OHV engine, the WMP20X includes EPDM seals and a rugged fiberglass-reinforced polyester housing to ensure reliable operation.

Submersible Pumps

The Honda WSP Series of submersible pumps are designed for a variety of residential and commercial sup applications. Housed in rugged, stainless steel casings, the WSP Series offers automatic float switch starting, built-in thermal auto reset and 20- or 25-foot heavy-duty, 115v cord.

Selecting The Right Pump
Honda offers four general categories of pumps. General purpose de-watering pumps are for moving relatively clean water. Construction pumps should be used when the water being pumped is contaminated with rocks, leaves, gravel and other waste materials. Honda's Multi-purpose pump can be used to move a variety of chemicals including water. Finally, Honda Submersible pumps can be used for a variety of residential and commercial sump applications.

Pump strainers are standard on all models, excluding the submersibles.

What Size Pump Is Right?
Choosing the correctly sized pump for your application is just as important as using the correct type. While there are several factors to consider when choosing a pump, total head is among the most important. Total head is equal to suction head plus discharge head. Suction head is the height from where the water (or other liquid) is being drawn to the pump. Discharge head is the height from the pump to the liquid's final destination. There are other factors that impact total head and discharge performance including, but not limited to, hose diameter, length, material, and whether or not sprinklers or a nozzle are used.
